Hello everyone! It is Friday already, how time flies. We woke up to a little bit of rain, luckily the skies are clearing off for the shooters. Our Marvel Precision board for match 135 & 136 is keeping busy. It is great to see all the shooters who are shooting a Marvel Precision Conversion Unit come in and put their scores up. This way we also get to meet all the shooters when they come in, which is great. Last night after we left Camp Perry, Larry, Kandy and myself took the Jet Express to Put in bay. The ride was great, it was a little windy so it was a little rough ride but I loved it. The three of us rented a golf cart and Larry was our driver. We drove around the island and ate at a wonderful place. We thought the prices would be alot higher but they were really reasonable. Today is going by really fast. We will be here through part of the day on Saturday. Getting busy over here so I will post more later.

Thursday, July 16, 2009
Hi everyone, it is Thursday. I cannot believe how fast the week is going. The weather is just wonderful out here, it is a little warm but with a nice breeze. Last night we attended Larry Carter's picnic for the Junior Shooters. There was a nice crowd, it seemed like there was more people this year than last year. The chicken, macaroni salad, coleslaw and dinner roll were great. The food is always so good. Alot of vendors offered up items that were given away during a drawing. Larry Carter did a great job in getting quality items all together for the auction . In addition to a gun, a custom made gun box, a Marvel Precision conversion unit, Coast Guard items and other items the auction for just this brought $2450.00. A hat that was brought back by a girl friend of one of Team Ultradots Shooters was also auctioned off. This hat was in Bejing during the Olympics and was signed by all the pistol shooters on the team as well as some of the rifle members. Lee Fleming also did a great job in getting another pistol and accessories together. This was given to one of the Junior Shooters. All of the Junior Shooters names were put into a box and one name was drawn for Lee's giveaway. A good time was had by all.

Day Three at Camp Perry
Hello again everyone. It is a beautiful day again. They are calling for rain, but I am hoping the rain will stay away for awhile for the shooters. Tonight we will be attending Larry Carter's picnic. He always has such awesome food and such a great turn out. Larry does alot for the Junior Shooters. We help by donating a Conversion Unit so that it can be auctioned off tonight. We all need to help with the Junior Shooters, as they are our next generation to carry it on. I'll post more later. This year we have our board up again for the 135 & 136 match. If you are shooting a Marvel Precision Conversion Unit make sure you come right your name and score down on our board. We will be giving out gift certificates for the top 3 places in all of the categories. I love seeing how the shooters shoot, and the board becomes quite popular. People come up just to see the scores, look who was shooting and compare how they did. Be back soon.

After a busy 1st day at Camp Perry, we went for supper at a Buffet and then we went down to the pier at night to watch the boats and enjoy the water. We also spent time on the deck at our motel room. Our trip to Camp Perry.
We left Nebraska at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Kandy, our Office Manager, and myself decided to drive out this year. With a SUV packed full we headed out. We took turns driving and had an enjoyable trip. If only all of the Interstates between here and Nebraska would have been 75 mph we could have made it here sooner. We spent our first night on the road in South Bend, Indiana. Me being a football fan, we had to make a stop at the Norte Dame Campus, and take pictures. We took our pictures and headed off for Port Clinton. We had such a great time last year enjoying the water, watching the Sea Gulls, and talking to the friendly people it seemed like the last leg of our trip took forever. We arrived in Port Clinton Sunday afternoon. After a quick unpack in the motel room; we headed out to sit and enjoy Lake Erie. I'll be posting more later. If you are at Camp Perry, stop and say hi.
